A gift to your family, sparing them hard decisions at an emotional time.
Offer a gift of comfort and beauty to a family suffering from loss.
It is not always possible to pay respects in person, so we hope that this small token will help.
Memorial Day Ceremonies
Woodlawn Funeral Home Manager Charles Lyons will serve as keynote speaker at two area Memorial Day programs this year.
The first ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, 1137 E. Cass Street (DIRECTIONS). The program will focus on the 152nd anniversary of the American Civil War's end, and will pay tribute to those veterans buried there.
At 10 a.m. on Monday, May 29, the annual Memorial Day Service will begin at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 23060 W. Jefferson Street (DIRECTIONS). Mr. Lyons will speak about the Gettysburg Address, and what it means today.
Remembrance is an important part of what we do at Woodlawn, so we encourage you to make it part of your Memorial Day weekend.
